At our resort in Hawaii it was surrounded by 4 lagoons which was great.  Actually, lagoons are perfect for kids as it blocks the big waves.  But at one point we wanted to explore the awesome waves of Hawaii so we took Ryan to one of the local surfing spots.  Here is a video of him jumping some nice waves with Mommy!

This year under advice from Auntie Esther we bought a special floating device to help Ryan build his confidence and have fun in the swimming pool.  This floating device was awesome – from the first moment Ryan was able to swim in the deep end with confidence.

After a few days we decided to swim through the waterfalls to test out his confidence in the water.  I would say that he passed with flying colors!  Check it out!

It is always fun to bury kids. And it is also a lot of fun to bury them so deep that they can’t get out.  Check out the frustration when Ryan realizes that he is stuck!

During our vacation at Hawaii we had the chance to get some free entertainment.  Ryan decided to participate and had a chance to test out his stage abilities.

This vacation to Hawaii that we’ve taken now a few times has really become something we enjoy…not like it is hard to enjoy vacations.  We have it figured out how to stop over in Los Angeles to visit family and travel to Hawaii for the same price, so why not?

This time we spent a week in LA hanging out and had a blast before heading off to Hawaii.
