Bliss!

Anyone who is a parent understands how crazy things can get.  Add in a second kid (or more) and it gets even crazier, especially when the kids are very young.  For us, there are few precious moments where both kids take a break and you get what I call ‘Parental Bliss’ where everything is quiet.  Well, for this spectacular moment we didn’t steal the moment as an opportunity for some of our own downtime, instead we wanted to capture it on film to remember this rare moment.

Thanksgiving

We’ve tried to make it a tradition to take a photo every fall of our family enjoying the leaves (it’s a tradition if you do it more than once, correct?).  Anyway, it is tough with kids to get everyone looking pretty, to set up the tripod and to find a nice place for the photo.  Anyway, we got a good photo which we ended up using as our Christmas card that year.  Also, here are a couple of photos of our Canadian Thanksgiving (another tradition!)

Ryan’s first day of kindergarten

Can’t believe it’s Ryan’s first day of Kindergarten! We were all very excited especially because Ryan already knew a bunch of kids in his class and we’ve heard so many amazing things about his teacher, Roland!  Our baby is growing up too fast officially in school!

Biking through the woods

One of the advantages of living on the UBC campus are the great bike paths.  We have an awesome forest close to our home that we love to bike through.  Here is a photo of Ryan on the bike path.

Bleuberries!

We love our little farm to pick blueberries every year in Richmond (G&J farms).  This year we set a record that we will never beat – 70 pounds of blueberries in 90 minutes.  Ryan was a picking machine and Madeline was very helpful.  I think that these 70 pounds are too much – 50 sounds more reasonable for our deep freezer!
