As we were preparing to go to the hospital for the birth of Madeline Daddy grabbed the camera and took a picture of Ryan. We wanted it as a memory of the last picture of Ryan as an only child.

As you probably already know it is flu and cold season. Unfortunately, we did not avoid it. Actually, we got hit hard with it. Daddy was first followed by mommy. (It’s not fun to see a 35 week pregnant woman coughing up a lung).
We thought Ryan was going to avoid catching it but the day we both felt better he caught it. It was quite sad, and to be honest, he’s never been sick like this. He didn’t eat at all on Saturday and threw up twice. He had no interest in anything and just wanted to cuddle up. The next day he seemed much better but then on Monday we decided to keep him home from school as he seemed quite sick again (mostly cold symptoms). Anyway, it seemed to take about a week for him to return to normal Ryan.
On the Monday that we kept him home Ryan asked if I could take his picture…I have no idea why he would want his picture taken when he was this sick but when you see this pic you can’t ignore the fact that he looks really sick! Poor thing!

Ryan’s new buddy is Felix who just lives down the hall from us now that we live on the first floor. Felix is about a year older. When they first met a few years ago there was too big of an age gap for them to play together but now that age gap has narrowed and they have a good time together.
Felix comes over every once and a while to play and the other day Ryan asked mommy to take a picture of Ryan and Felix sitting in Ryan’s chair. This is what they wanted photographed.

As I posted earlier Ryan is moving to a bigger daycare. On his first day they do a gradual entry where you only spend a short time at the new centre with mommy or daddy. Unfortunately, on this day Daddy was not in town (he was in Moncton) so it was a special day for Mommy and Ryan. They had a chance to go to the new centre and to also hang out at home.
Ryan was a happy boy. Here are some photos of him hanging out at home with mommy.
Also, one of Ryan’s favorite things is to make believe that everything is a Zamboni. Here is what he came up for a Zamboni using some blocks and a train.
