Dancing Machine

As I am sure many of you already know, Ryan loves to dance.  We aren’t just talking about a little here, he loves to dance

at school and at home, in the mall, or anywhere there is music.  Actually, at daycare (school) the teachers can’t play too much music as that is all the kids would do all day is dance.  Ryan has also become quite picky as to which songs he likes and has gone through some pretty quick and intense phases.  Baby Beluga, ABC Rock, A Ram-Sam-Sam.

Here is a video of Ryan busting some moves:

At the start of this video Ryan lets us know that he isn’t happy dancing to Old McDonald.

Our new garden

We’ve been on a waitlist since Ryan was born to get a garden plot on the university campus.  It was a little late in the summer but we received an email letting us know we now have a garden plot!!  As it is very late in the season we didn’t have many options on what to plant.  We bought a tomato plant (already grown) and some lettuce (already started) and planted radishes, broccoli, peas, carrots and beets.

Ryan really seems to enjoy the garden and talks about it all of the time – especially whenever we eat lettuce.

Here are some photos of the garden at the start.

Uncle Robert and Aunt Helen come up for a visit

We were very happy to have some visitors.  Sometimes, we feel like we live so far away as it is so rare to get a visit from family.  We had a blast hanging out with Uncle Robert and Aunt Helen.  Ryan fell asleep right when we were about to pick them up so we came back home and chatted and had some snacks.

After Ryan woke up we took a few photos and went out for some lunch and desert.  Here are some photos from their visit.

Flossing is just as important as brushing your teeth

Ryan has become a very good boy when it comes to brushing his teeth.  I think he really gets a kick out of using daddy’s electric tooth brush (don’t worry we don’t share the same head of the brush – he has his own).  The other day we had some corn on the cob and Ryan had tons of stuff stuck in his teeth.  Mommy had to floss his teeth.  Well, to our surprise Ryan just lay there with his mouth open for mommy to floss and loved it.

The next day, Ryan asked for some floss so that he could floss his own teeth.  This is what I caught on video.

Ryan gets another haircut from daddy

If you have had the chance to go through some of our earlier postings you might have noticed that we have moved into a new place.  We now have a backyard and live in a two floor apartment.  We have been loving our new place and you might be able to notice our place from some of the photos.

Here are a couple of pictures or Ryan and daddy before the haircut.  Since Ryan’s first haircut, daddy has really learned a lot about cutting hair and isn’t half bad at it.  Regardless, daddy does look forward to the day when Ryan can sit through a  professional haircut.
