I took him out in his car (which he loves) but it was kind of cold so I had to bundle him up.  He really loves this car.

Ryan woke up today with a whole new level of abilities.  He is loving the fact that he can walk.  Enjoy the vidoes!

We knew it was coming.  For the last few weeks Ryan has been trying to balance himself without touching things or just holding on lightly.  The funny thing was that he didn’t really show any interest in walking.  I knew that he loved treats so I tried bribing him a few feet away and bingo! he took a few steps.

It only took a bribe or two and now he is boldly taking a few steps from the ottoman before falling to the ground.

We hope that he keeps crawling for a long time because he looks so cute crawling around.

We are trying to gradually switch Ryan over from formula (since about 8 months) to milk (hopefully by 12 months).  Today was the first time we gave him a bottle of milk in his new sippy cup.  He was pretty excited to have a new cup and to also have milk.  He also knew very well that we had the video camera on him – and shows off a bit by holding the cup with one hand.  He also tries to hide a bit from the camera.

My favorite bit is the ending where he really shows off that he can drink a bottle himself.

Today I had the chance to do a bit of practicing at home.  I didn’t get much done as Ryan kept trying to come in and check out what daddy was doing.  He was very interested in the violin and wanted to check it out up close.
