Being pissed on isn’t so bad….

OK..this might sound a little weird but there is a story that goes with this.

A lot of people warned us that when you have a boy you need to watch out for getting pissed on. Well we were doing quite well for a while. Then it happened one day – and in all honesty it wasn’t that bad. A little pee..no big deal.

This morning I woke up and it was my turn to change the diaper while Grace prepared to feed Ryan. As Obaki sleeps for long periods at night (bless his little heart!!) he had a bit of dried modge on him that had been there for a while. Needless to say it wasn’t the easiest thing to wipe up. I had to wipe ‘extra’ carefully to get the dried stuff off.

And then it happened…

I heard a little grumble come from my baby…

And then…

A FOUNTAIN OF MODGE squirted across our bed and up and over onto the carpet. Of course, I tried to block it but that just helped spray it everywhere – including backwards!! I kid you not, it squirted like the fountains at ‘Mirage’ in Vegas. It travelled over 3 feet! And this doesn’t include the pee that came along with the ‘spraying fountain’. Needless to say, nobody warned me of this!

In the end, I’ve come to learn that being pissed on just ain’t that bad.

Happy Birthday Uncle Derek

Obaki still hasn’t met his Uncle Derek but he told me to wish him a happy birthday. He was very excited to learn that both Mommy and Uncle Derek share the same birth month as him.

Ryan looks like both mommy AND daddy

We’ve been having some laughs at how people are commenting on how much Ryan looks like one of us. We see the resemblance with both of us. It is a little hard to tell at this point as we are both over 30 years older than baby. So we had some fun and decided to compare all of us as babies. Here you go – let’s hear what you think!

Comparing all of us in the first week of life

Happy 8-day party Ryan!

Today we had Grace’s family visiting from Los Angeles -Halaburgee (James Cho, Grace’s Dad), Halmonee (Carrie Cho, Grace’s mom) and Jun-Jo Halmonee (Grace’s Grandmother) to celebrate Ryan’s birthday (8 days old). It was a big party!
