While dad is away playing concerts and trying to get famous, Ryan is getting older and cuter.  Here is a recent photo of Ryan – I am not sure if it is the outfit and sneakers or if he is just looking older and more mature.

This is a longer and larger video (and has sound!).  You can hear Ryan trying to laugh a few times.  Here he is playing on his gym mat having a great time.

OK, I am not trying to pretend that Ryan can stand up or anything.  We have been trying to get him used to how his legs are supposed to work and feel by letting him put some weight on them.  You can see that Ryan is very wobbly and I need to support him – but at the same time he is able to support his own weight before his knees start to give.

Here is a short video of Ryan lifting his head.  I loved it when he first started lifting his head on his own because it would wobble – kind of like a bobble head.  It was very cute.

Now, he is quite steady and we give him a bit of tummy time for him to explore just how heavy his own head really is.  My favorite part of this video is the end when he’s succeeded at lifting his head -he sticks out his tongue.

On July 1st we went for a short walk to the park – it was one of the hottest days of the year!  We brought a blanket and hung out and had some fun.  Ryan seemed quite happy.  It was so hot and sticky in our home, we were all happy to get out.  It is pretty rare to be sticky in Vancouver – that’s why nobody has AC, but man could we have used it over the long July 1st weekend!
