Videos!!!

Things have been changing quickly. It is amazing how fast Obaki is growing up. He has started imitating our facial expressions which is very cool. When I do something that he doesn’t really get at first he will frown and then try to do it. We were able to teach him how to stick out his tongue at us – very cute. And of course, he has started smiling because when he imitates us we can’t help but laugh and smile (which he tries to imitate).

Check out this cute smile!

The videos are in mp4 format and are encoded using h.264. If this doesn’t make sense to you, don’t worry too much. This is an awesome way to upload videos – the file is quite small but the quality is amazing. I want to keep using this format so please let me know if you can’t see the videos -if you don’t want to leave a comment just email me.

One simple solution is to use a better video player -if you are a mac person, just continue using Quicktime but if you use Windows, try using VLC to watch videos.  You can download and install their free video player here http://www.videolan.org/vlc/   This video player (VLC) is the best  video player on the market & it is free.

The many faces of Ryan

Ryan has been getting happier and showing us every day. Today he spent a little bit of time in his swing making faces at us. We were able to get a few photos ending with his famous ‘sexy man pose’.

We’ve been pretty slow at updating the blog mostly because I am doing my tenure file which is taking way more time than I ever imagined.

HUH? What did you say?

Ryan went in for his hearing test yesterday and passed with flying colours.  I guess when we were in the hospital we left so quickly that they didn’t have enough time to test his hearing.  They finally tracked us down to check his hearing.  We weren’t worried as he is the son of two musicians.

We would be worried if he didn’t have perfect pitch!

Today I played the violin for Obaki for the first time.  He was pretty mesmerized -either because he was in shock that daddy wasn’t making funny faces or because he liked it.  We’ll try again soon – we’ve got to start developing that perfect pitch!
