Our Trip to New Brunswick

This has taken us forever to update.  Mostly because by the time we got home Jasper had to start up the school year and get his tenure file in.  But now that we have things under control we wanted to write and post some pictures from the big trip.

We certainly had a blast and it was great to see everyone and to introduce Ryan to everyone.  We stayed at Baba’s house for the main part of our trip.  We did have quite a few chances to visit with Craig, Suzanne and Jasmine.  My goodness Jasmine grew up a lot – she was a real cutie.  We also visited with Heather a bit but our visit with her was much less than usual.  We still got to see everyone.

Bless Lisette -she drove up all by herself with her Caitlin and Kathryn to come out to Dad’s party.  It was great to see her and get caught up with things.  We also had a chance to visit with Derek, Kim, Kayla and Jordan.  We couldn’t believe the change in Jordon, granted the last time we saw him he was 3 weeks and was now just over a year old.

The plane ride on the way to Moncton was so much easier than we could have ever imagined.  Ryan was an angel and didn’t cry once!   Anya, Paul, Natasha, Hailey, and Jordin came to visit us at the airport.  We really did have the chance to see everyone on this trip!

The plane ride home wasn’t as easy – the first part from Moncton to Toronto was great but Ryan did fuss a bit on the way home.  I think that after 2 weeks of meeting people he was just tired and wanted to get home.  One of the fun bits of the plane ride was when Ryan decided to take the modge of his life during some turbulance.  The seatbelt sign was on so we couldn’t get up to take him to the bathroom.  We would have changed him on the seat but we had already been busted earlier and didn’t want to risk it.  After 10 minutes of holding Ryan on his side to prevent smooshing modge all over him we asked the flight attendant if we could get up.  He said it was at our own risk – and it was a risk we were willing to take.  Once he was changed we all breathed a sigh of relief.

I have posted some pictures above of everyone with Ryan.  If you want to add your own memories of your first visit with Ryan please email it to me and I will add it to the blog.  We would love to have a ‘guest’ blog for once.

It was great to see everyone and if there was any way that we could live closer I am sure we would.  We miss all of you and think of you often.  And as always, please come and visit us.

Ryan’s first laugh!!

I can’t believe we were able to get a video of his first laugh.  Grace was playing with Ryan and he started to laugh so she grabbed the camera.  Enjoy!!
