More Christmas Gifts!

As we posted earlier, we weren’t able to open all of our gifts on Christmas eve so we had another event of gift opening on Christmas morning!  Yipee!

Tent and a tunnel!!

Ryan loved his doctor gift and was checking everyone’s heart beat, blood pressure and giving them needles.  We also bought him a tent and tunnel which installs and puts away in less than 30 seconds.  We needed it to be this simple or else it would never fit in our house.

Christmas Morning!!

What could be more exciting than Christmas morning?  Ryan was very excited to open his stocking.  He absolutely freaked out when he found garbage bins in his stocking!  I really wish that I had it on video.

GARBAGE BINS!

Christmas Eve

In traditional Cho family tradition we started opening gifts on Christmas eve.  This year we had visitors that showed up around 7:00 so we weren’t able to finish opening all of the gifts before bed.  Ryan did open his train set from his Halmonie.

Since Ryan and Tyler were kind of bored with the guests they decided to sit down in front of the laptop and watch a few Thomas the Train tv episodes.

Just before bedtime Ryan set out his cookies and milk for Santa and went to bed like an angel.  Actually before falling asleep Ryan said “Santa is upstairs – I will go to bed like a good boy” and went to sleep.

Cousin Tyler

Before coming to LA Ryan was talking about playing with Tyler (his cousin – Grace’s sister’s boy who is 7 weeks younger).  It wasn’t until the 24th of December that they started playing together and they had a blast every day.  It didn’t take long for them to start having fun together.  Ryan’s Uncle DD showed them many special tricks and sounds with their bums which can be seen in these photos.

Ryan and Tyler also had a lot of fun helping each other open Christmas gifts together.  I think they are really going to miss each other.

To the community center and beyond!

Ryan loves to go to the park, which baby doesn’t?  And since daddy has taken over as daddy day care we’ve been going to the park a lot.  I think I’ve tried out all of the parks in town.  Sometimes it is kind of funny as I would say that 95% of the time during the day the kids are playing at the park with mommy or a nanny, and I am usually the only daddy.

We are fortunate enough to live just behind a park.  Ryan loved going there for the longest time – running around and hiding and trying to climb on whatever he could.  A few weeks after going there his interests started changing.  He wanted to explore more, there is a community center connected to the park which is open to the public.  There are lots of kids that come and go there.  This is also the same place that Ryan goes for his music classes.

Ryan also loved the fountain ever since he was a young baby..I think that is another universal baby thing, fountains and moving water.  Anyway, one day when Ryan was checking out the fountain he started noticing that other kids were going to the community center and opening the door by pushing on a red button that opened the door for people in wheelchairs or anyone who couldn’t open the door.  We never showed this to Ryan.  Then one day, Ryan just ran up and opened the door on his own.  I was absolutely shocked.

Now, it is a usual thing for him – he doesn’t want to go to the playground as much and mostly wants to go inside to the community center to make and meet friends (and open the door by himself).  Here is a little video of Ryan running down checking out the fountain and then running and opening the door by himself.
