Go faster daddy!

We didn’t know if Ryan would like a walker to help him stand up or a push toy to ride in.  So, we decided to buy one to try it out (with the intentions of returning it).  In the end, we learned that Ryan likes to stand on his own (against something) or hold our hands to go for a walk.  What we did learn was that Ryan loved riding this toy.

Now we did what any good parent would – we returned the toy.

We are planning a trip to the US in a few days and plan to get him a better toy so until that time, we had to return the toy.  But one last thing that I have to rant about.  Baby toys are really easy to assemble but almost impossible to disassemble.  We practically had to destroy the thing to get the pieces seperated….and no, they did not make it so you could take it apart.

Ok...now go faster
Riding toys rock!

Never give up!

I have been recording a lot of videos lately.  If you are wondering why – just watch them.  I am in absolute amazement at the changes I see in my baby every day.  He masters a new skill everyday like it’s his homework.

Just today Ryan figured out how to pull himself up.  Now, I won’t say that it is easy for him and it did take a bit of coaxing with the Ipod playing in the background (the blue light shining from the white tub).  It is a bit difficult to see Ryan struggling to get up but trust me, if you help him he would be more upset with you.  He loves the challenge.

I will pull myself up - just watch!

Ryan likes to lounge

Ryan has been trying really hard to master a lot of skills lately – such as crawling over things and people.  He also likes to  hold hands and walk around.  He has also been working on pulling himself up.  All of this new stuff is making him really tired.

We bought a big pack of toilet paper the other day – yipee!  Well, we haven’t opened it yet because Ryan loves playing with it.  At first it was the best thing to try and help pull himself up with (just the right height and softness).  Today he was trying to pull himself up on the ottoman to get at his toy.  Well, I got a couple of photos of him after he got his toy!

Nothing beats hanging out! Yeah! I can lounge What is this thing

Daddy and Ryan go Gangsta!

Daddy and Ryan were left home alone tonight.  Grace went to the gym to do Pilates.  We weren’t invited so we had our own party.  We decided to dress up and have some fun with the camera.

Is it hot in here or just us?

Help me stand! We can chill and play with blocks!

Just Chillin A super cool baby with a super cool daddy!

What’s up with Ryan and his Ipod?

Ryan loves his Ipod – it was his first reason for crawling.  We have learned that if we want Ryan to do something all we have to do is put the Ipod somewhere and he will try as hard as he can to get it.

We decided that we wanted to test this theory.  As Ryan isn’t able to really pull himself up, we thought that if we put the ipod in his toy chest he might just be inclined to try and pull himself up to get it.

Check this out to see how much Ryan loves his Ipod!
