This video will explain better than I can but I will let you know a little history from this day.

Ryan refused to take a second nap at daycare.  They tried everything, he just wanted to jump around and kept pointing at everything.  When we got him home, he also wouldn’t sleep.  After dinner we went out to the mall to buy him some new shoes as his feet are getting too big….and, of course, he fell asleep 5 minutes after we left.  We decided to go out and rent a movie and make it an early night.  When we got home Ryan woke up and was super happy and really fun until about 9:30 (about an hour and a half past his regular bedtime).  This video was taken at 8:30.

Well…that may be true for daddy but when it comes to Ryan, he loves a different kind of slide.  The real thing!!!

For the past week or so Ryan has really obsessed with trying to climb stairs without our help.  Of course, we don’t trust him and are always right behind him to catch him in case he falls (even when we videotape him).  Ryan has discovered at a few different playgrounds around town, that he can climb up the stairs on his own and slide down the slide all by himself.  Usually, after sliding down he gives himself a big round of applause but not in this video (we don’t  video tape him all day – so this is the best you are going to get!)

Anyway, enough of that.

Ryan has really started doing some new things.   He has been talking up a storm, we still have difficulty understanding him but every once and a while he says something that we can understand.  The words that he says best are “light, cat, meow, gentle, this, that, and his favourite –ahhhh – ohhhh”

Here are a couple of videos of him playing with some block and his shape sorter.  They really aren’t the most exciting videos but they do give a good example of what he is doing these days.  We have some more videos of him doing some typical Obaki crazy stuff that we will post soon.

Eunice sent Ryan a wonderful package in the mail yesterday.  He was very excited to come home and get to open something.  In the package was rain boots, a rain jacket, a lunch bag, backpack and sunglasses.  As usual, Ryan ran to the mirror to check himself out and loved everything.  Still today, he keeps picking up his boots and asking us to help him put them on.

He used the lunch bag for going to the office (day care) today.  He was very busy at work, examining everything and running around.  Here are some photos and a video
