The Old Barn Community Centre (the place where Ryan goes to play just behind our house) had a block party today – free hot dogs, chips, pop, live band, horse drawn carriage, balloons, face painting etc…

We had a blast at the party!  It all started off with Ryan getting to see a fire truck up close and even getting the chance to drive it!

Ryan liked seeing the horses up close and personal!

Ryan even got up and danced in front of everyone at the concert.  Everyone was so impressed with his dancing!

For whatever reason we haven’t let Ryan play with blocks in a long time – I think they were stuck in a drawer somewhere.  Anyway, I found them today and let Ryan play with them.  It caught me completely by surprise that he knew exactly what to do. 

They probably showed him at daycare – regardless, I was impressed.

Check it out – and take notice of Ryan’s expression towards the end, where he kind of smiles at the camera.  We call that his mysterious face – we don’t know where he picked it up from, or what he means by it….funny, though!

We tried testing Ryan the other night on how many words he could understand.  We were absolutely amazed at how many words he understood.  It was kind of scary – like as if he has been listening to us all of this time and actually understanding what was going on….  ok, maybe not that crazy.  But the next morning we tried to catch it on tape. 

This video is about 2 minutes long.  Ryan is really proud of the work that he put into making this video, so don’t disappoint him – watch the whole thing (and clap for him at the end!).

Mammi recently got a perm for her hair (it looks great by the way!).   Anyway, in order to keep her perma looking pretty she bought some curlers to keep in her hair.  Ryan loves to play with them!  We got a few pictures of him playing with them.
