We have been letting Ryan watch a little tv here and there.  Mostly Baby Einstein videos and they are few and far between.  It’s not something we want him to get used to.  We let him watch them on long road trips and if he isn’t feeling too well.

You might be wondering why bother controlling how much tv he watches?  Well, here are a few photos of him watching a baby cartoon (Baby Einstein)

On Saturday, one of my students (Llowyn Ball) who works on the ferry invited us down for a ride on the ferry on Granville Island.  We were very excited to check it out.  It was going to be Ryan’s first ride on a boat.

Ryan knows the word ‘BOAT’ but now after having gone for a ride he really has a better understanding of the word. We were in the boat for about 25 minutes and saw a few seals up pretty close.  The weather ranged from cloudy to super sunny.

After a little bit Captain Llowyn suggested that it was time for Ryan to take control of the ship….he loved it!  Check out the photos!

My old roommate Mike Westwood came to Vancouver for a visit.  It had been a long time since he was in Vancouver.   It was Mike’s first time to meet Ryan and they got along great.  The funny thing was Ryan tried to impress Mike each time he saw him….I kid you not.

Here is a video of Ryan dancing.  This was Ryan showing off his new dance.  Also, take note that Ryan had just met Mike not even 5 minutes ago.

The next day Ryan decided to read a book to Mike – I was completely shocked….Ryan never reads to me?  Also, he was using words I had no idea he knew.

Actually, Ryan has been opening and closing doors for some time now but sometimes he just needs a little advice or else he gets frustrated.

Ryan didn’t like the fact that it was his turn to clean the floor.  He also quickly learned that cleaning made him feel ugly and dirty.
