Device Driver Could Not Be Installed

I am sure you know what a USB Cable is – if not here is what it looks like.

I was doing some stuff on my computer when all of a sudden a notice popped up that said ‘Device Driver Can Not be Installed’.  I was kind of worried as nothing new was attached to my computer.  I wasn’t doing anything weird on the computer either – I though maybe I had a virus or something was corrupt.  Then I looked down and Ryan had a USB cable in his mouth.  Of course, I took it out of his mouth.  It was at this time that I realized that it was connected to my computer!  Now, before you get worried – I don’t leave wires hanging around that are dangerous but I had forgotten to unplug this one from my computer.

Then, all of a sudden it all made sense.  The computer was trying to install Ryan as my new device!!  Of course, that is why my computer couldn’t find the proper driver.

Anyway, nobody or nothing was hurt in the making of this story – so don’t worry.  Just laugh like we did and hide those wires!!

A little update

Ryan is starting to talk a lot more and will now imitate us (if he’s in a good mood).  I think he can say more words than I can remember –things like ‘chin, eyes, ears, hair, toes, boots, Santa, more, up, down, stairs, door, home, house’.  We like to think that Ryan has a bit of a British accent – he really overemphasizes his words —star is staaaaar and moon is meewn, eyes are iiieeyes.  I am sure this is normal for a lot of kids but it really is his own unique accent.

Ryan loves trying on my clothes and whenever he wants to go out, he’ll bring me either my shoes to put on  or he’ll sit by the door and try to put his shoes on.  The other day Ryan woke up at 5:15 and we were trying to put him back to bed and he resisted, finally I just went to bed and about 10 minutes later I was woken up by Ryan tugging on my arm holding his boots.  It was pretty cute.

If it sounds like Ryan has been getting up a lot at night, well, he has.  We aren’t sure what he is going through but it isn’t fun.  He is getting up at least once a night or waking up super early.   The other night Ryan woke up around 2 am and I looked out the window and saw a pretty awesome display of the Northern Lights.  Of course I was too sleepy to even think of trying to capture it on film.  Well, the very next night I was taking Ryan for a walk (of course, it gets dark here at about 4:30 so we have plenty of darkness).  Ryan pointed up to the sky and was saying “Wooow!  Wow!   ohhh.  Wow!’  I thought he was just practicing his talking until I looked up and saw a green light.

Tonight, when we were getting Ryan ready for bed we decided to put him in his new PJs.  He absolutely loves them and was running around trying to show them to us or check it out in the mirror.  Lately, it’s been hard to get a good picture of Ryan because he usually runs at the camera to see what kind of picture you just took, even if you haven’t taken it yet.

You can see in the background that we have decorated our home for Christmas…time to get festive now!

Oh yeah, one more thing.  Ryan went to the mall yesterday to meet Santa – he was pretty shy and only really felt comfortable when he was about 5 feet away.  He loved waving to him in a sort of timid way.  Hopefully, over the next few weeks he will be more interested in sitting on Santa’s lap.  We’ll keep telling him all about Santa and reading lots of Christmas stories so he gets to know Santa and all his gift giving ways!

Puzzled? I’m not puzzled, are you puzzled?

We have some shape sorters that Ryan has enjoyed playing with in the past.   We were at Chapters the other day trying to get some new books for Ryan – we  wanted to get some Christmas books to teach him about Santa Claus as this is his first Christmas that he will understand what’s going on.  (He now knows who Santa is – and always kisses his picture whenever he sees it.  He also made a point of waving to Santa in the mall yesterday.   I’m sure we’ll get some photos of them together soon)

Anyway, I’m off topic now.  While at Chapters we found a puzzle that is made with all of Ryan’s favorite shapes, police car, train, airplane, fire truck, bus and boats.  As soon as we brought that puzzle home he couldn’t get enough of it.

Check out this video of Ryan enjoying his puzzle.

Chihuahua!

In case you forgot that Ryan was a dancing machine – here you go.  We still have no idea where he learns his moves – we still have to capture his freaky slow dance for you.  It is just wrong to see an 18 month old groove their hips in a slow manner.

I’m sure we’ll capture it for you soon.

Here is a video of Ryan grooving to Chihuahua!  Notice how he waits for the beat before grooving his crazy dance moves.
