We had so much fun with Craig,Suzanne and Jasmine during their visit.  But out of all of us I think Ryan had the most fun.  He absolutely loved having Jasmine here – he looked up to her and wanted to learn how to do everything she could.  They were really cute together, they ate breakfast, lunch and dinner together.  This might not sound like a big deal but Ryan never ate by himself before.

They played so well together and had so much fun.  When they left for Vancouver Island for a week all Ryan could talk about was what happened to Jasmine’s car seat (which of course wasn’t in the car).  What Ryan really wanted to say was —where is Jasmine?  Actually, Ryan is still asking what happened to Jasmine and we are almost mid-June now.

After our fun Hawaii trip we stopped by Los Angeles for a quick visit.  We celebrated Mother’s Day and Grace, Jasper & Ryan’s birthday all together.

As I am sure many of you had heard – we went to Hawaii.  This was our fourth trip to Hawaii and one of our best trips.  First up, this vacation helped cure Ryan of his terrible twos.  Before we left Ryan was quite fussy and was throwing a lot of tantrums.  Once we left for Hawaii, he became an angel.  The flight was super easy – someone gave up their 3 seats (2 people sitting in a 3 seater) to switch with us in 2 seats.  This way we had an extra seat for Ryan.  Whew!  That really helped.

Once we arrived in Hawaii – Ryan adjusted to the beautiful weather without any trouble.  The time change was also quite easy to adjust to.  He slept like an angel and played like a wild man.  We went to the beach at least twice a day and had a bbq almost every night.  It really was quite awesome.

It’s only fair if daddy cuts Ryan’s hair that Ryan should be allowed to cut daddy’s hair.  Last year when Ryan tried to cut daddy’s hair it was a bit difficult.  It sort of worked better this year.  I have to admit that in the end daddy’s hair wasn’t very even but at least Ryan had fun.  But I guess Ryan could say the same about his hair, too.

(Thanks goodness daddy is already married.)

Today started off with a nice surprise from Ryan – an early morning card, and the day ended with a nice Happy Birthday song from Ryan.  After daycare Mommy, Daddy and Ryan all went out to eat a nice dinner, then we went to the playground and came home and ate cake!  What a great day.
